6 Week Course

Sundays: 11:30am – 12:30pm

Course Dates: 1/12/24 – 12/1/24 (no class 29/12)

Venue: Hyde Hall Farm, Buntingford

Trainer: Jan Barlow, IMDT

Covered In This Course:

• Heelwork: (off-lead) left & right turns, about turn, past distractions such as other dogs and a rolling ball
• Sit/stay: extended duration, whilst handler remains at distance, disappears out of sight and with added distractions
• Recall past distractions 
• Stop Whistle (whilst hunting) & Recall 
• Marked Retrieves: from cover at distance
• Memory Retrieves
• Blind Retrieves
• Split Retrieves: multiple dummies, no swapping
• Directional Control: Casting Back, Left and Right
• Use of Hunt Whistle
• Use of Turn Whistle whilst hunting a pattern (hunting breeds)

Entry Requirements:

• A Pass or above in our Junior Gundog Fieldwork Test (please do not book your space until you have achieved this)
• Prior attendance on Advanced Gundog Foundation Course
